Bye-Bye Izzie

I can’t say I was all that surprised that Izzie (Katherine Heigl) was fired from Seattle Grace. She nearly killed one of her patients and thinks she is ready to be a full-time doctor after she almost died herself. Looking back, I should have seen this coming. However, because Izzie and Karev got married I didn’t think that she would leave. Now that she has, I have hope that she will return. There is no way she would just leave the love of her life behind like that. According to eonline.com, there will be more Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice crossovers. For those of you who are not watchers of either show, Kate Walsh was an actress on Grey’s but got her own spin-off on a show called Private Practice. She now works in a hospital in California rather than Seattle. Eonline.com predicts that it is possible that Izzie will runaway to Los Angeles to hide out with Addison (Kate Walsh). I can definitely see this happening. I think Izzie will hide out for a few weeks but return when she realizes that she is lost without Karev. Hopefully by that time, the chief will want to rehire her. Either way, I am glad it wasn’t Meredith or McSteamy that got the boot.
